BALINESE CREMATION
This traditional cremation ceremony took place in August, 2013, in the village of Keliki, near Ubud, on the island of Bali, Indonesia.
Cremations take place approximately every three years when a village gets together to organise a communal ceremony. Bodies are disinterred, cremated, and the ashes sprinkled in the sea.
